Terry Sullivan a graduate of Moorhead State University was raised in Brooten, Minnesota, were he was active in many sports including football. After completing his football career at Moorhead, Sullivan started teaching and coached for fourteen years in Minnesota at the high school level, finishing out his assistant coaching career at Eden Prairie as the Eagles won their first State Championship in 1996.
Sullivan started the MFL in 1995 with four teams, currently the league has eight of the top 3A semi-pro teams in the country. Sullivan brought the MFL into the Northe American Foootball in 2003 and started 360 Sports Mangement in 2004 ith business partner Rob Licopoli. Sullivan is also the director of the All-American Bowl division II/II and semi-pro national all-star game and was instrumental in bring women's football back to prominence as one of the founders of the Women's Professional Football League.
Sullivan was inducted into the American Football Hall of Fame in 2003 and the Minor League Football Hall of Fame in 2004.
Sullivan said "The MFL has been a big part of my life for the past ten years and after more than 33 years in football, playing, coaching and administrating, being the commissioner for the past three seasons has truly been an honor."
Sullivan lives with his wife of 30 years Patricia in Eden Prairie and has three children Brandon 28, Declan 24 and Kiersten 21.
